After celebrating turning 44 on June 24, Mindy Kaling took a moment to reflect on her two biggest joys in life her children. "Look I know I'm clearly materialistic but the best birthday gift to me, for the rest of my life, are these two guys," the actress posted on Instagram along with a photo of her daughter Katherine, 5, and 2-year-old son Spencer.

And in turn, the single mum is doing everything she can to be the very best of herself for her little ones.

"Now I'm just trying to be present for them (hard for me! I'm impatient!), being up for anything (again hard for me, I am not whimsical!)" she continued in her post. "And stay healthy for these two guys (ALSO hard! I just want to eat cheesesteaks every meal in front of the TV) for until I'm an old grey skeleton they're like, 'Mum, you gotta go."
